The yellow clips are left in the door and the door card is pushed upwards - the slots in the door card come down onto the clips. So don't pull outwards - slide upwards. If when you get the card off the slots are broken if you can find the bits you can superglue them back together. Good luck PS if you are stuck for the yellow clips I have half a dozen you can have. mumof4 Posted July 24, 2006 Author Report Posted July 24, 2006 Ok.....door card has to come off im afraid...the clip in the door card but not in the door..is broken and i can see 2 screws lying at the bottom between the door card and the metal door.So..here goes.offski it comes.Bigj, gonna pm you my address if that is ok with you for those spare clips you offered!!.. Ok..cant take door card off till i get a window regulator for the window..as the window in the door is held up by a plank of wood!! :D hubby is just concerned that if i dont fix it in one day then it could be a safety issue with the kids in the car.!!Blast it. Guest MATT jr Posted July 25, 2006 Report Posted July 25, 2006 could you claim that money of the garages that said your steering was ok? MJR Quote

mumof4 Posted July 25, 2006 Author Report Posted July 25, 2006 Yes i am ok as i was the only one in the car....a bit bruised but fine. Not something i would recommend.Luckily there was no major damage done to the car, front left headlight replaced, bumper reattached to car, washer bottle replaced, a few scratches, and a nice dent in the door.Car was checked out and everything else was ok. Cant speak for the ruddy tree though!! I was shown the fluid that was drained from the car,There were bits of crud in it which is believed MAY have caused the problem of the steering. CAB is next step. Quote
mumof4 Posted July 26, 2006 Author Report Posted July 26, 2006 CAB is next step. ?CAB? MJR :) Citizens advice beuro(spelt wrong!!).. I have letters and sample of power steering fluid that was drained from the Gal,and report off garage. Quote
